ACHES and PAINS

Chronic pain....it changes a person.  I have peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage) in both feet and both calves.   The pain, which is much more intense this year, saps me of energy (what is left of it).  I believe that the neuropathy is from participating in clinical trials in the 80's of the earlier AIDSdrugs (AZT, Videx, and  Zerit ( known for neuropathy as a side effect). Being involved with those clinical trials not only kept me alive (most likely), but I like to think that it also helped the AIDS community.  Unfortunately, that does not make the pain go away.  It affects everything, both physically and emotionally.

No wonder I cannot sleep!
